Terms and Conditions – Promoters
When a ticket is purchased through TKOTIX.com, the following outlines how funds and fees are distributed:
- Ticket Face–Value: 100% to promoter. This amount is the base price of the ticket set by the Promoter. All refunds for event cancellations must be returned to the Buyer from this amount. Funds are distributed to the promoter through Stripe on a schedule mutually agreed by both the promoter and TKOTIX.
- Stripe Processing Fees: 3.5% of face-value of ticket, plus .30 cents per transaction is added by TKOTIX to be paid by the buyer. Stripe charges a processing fee for handling the payment. This fee is deducted from the gross cost of the ticket.
- Service Fee & Tax: Approximately 5-10%. This is a service fee is charged to the Buyer, which goes to TKOTIX. This fee is non-refundable. This percentage is negotiated between the Promoter and TKOTIX. TKOTIX includes tax rates within its service fees. Often labelled as “Service Fees & Tax” at checkout. It is combined, so the Buyer does not see numerous lines of fees and get discouraged. TKOTIX is NOT RESONSIBLE FOR any tax obligations of the Event nor the Promoter.
- Tax Responsibility: Promoters are responsible for all applicable taxes on ticket sales, including sales taxes within their jurisdiction. TKOTIX collects its own taxes, including federal and state income taxes, which are not related to the Promoter’s tax obligations.
Terms & Conditions: Summary
- Appointment of TKOTIX: TKOTIX.com acts solely as an agent to sell tickets for the Promoter’s event and is not responsible for the event itself.
- Direct Deposit: Promoters using Direct Deposit receive ticket sales within approximately 2 business days.
- Refund Responsibility: TKOTIX.com is not responsible for refunds due to event cancellation; the Promoter must handle all refunds of ticket face value to the buyer. OR, refund all money to TKOTIX and we can process it electronically, less any processing fees.
- Non-Refundable Fees: Processing fees, credit card fees, and TKOTIX fees are non-refundable.
- Tax Responsibility: Promoters are responsible for all applicable taxes on ticket sales, including sales taxes within their jurisdiction. TKOTIX collects taxes on ticket sales from the buyer, but these are used specifically for federal, state and income tax on the part of TKOTIX LLC, which are not related to the Promoter’s tax obligations.
- Stripe Account Requirement: All Promoters must create a Stripe account linked to TKOTIX’s Stripe system for payment processing. Promoters are responsible for taxes and will receive a 1099 form.
- Sales Dashboard: TKOTIX.com provides Promoters access to a sales dashboard to track ticket sales.
- Updating Information: Promoters must update their contact details and Stripe payment information in the sales dashboard. TKOTIX is not responsible for payments sent to incorrect accounts.
- Overpayments: Promoters must notify TKOTIX of any overpayment and return funds immediately; organizers are personally liable for repayment.
- Event Listing: Promoters confirm all necessary venue and performer arrangements before uploading events to TKOTIX.com.
- Event Promotions: TKOTIX is not responsible for fines due to unauthorized promotional activities (e.g., fly-posting); the Promoter covers such fines.
- Accurate Event Details: Promoters are responsible for ensuring all event and ticket details are correct; TKOTIX is not liable for any errors.
- Tax Responsibility: Promoters are responsible for managing their VAT and tax obligations.
- Complaints: Any event-related complaints received by TKOTIX will be forwarded to the Promoter.
- Jurisdiction: Any lawsuits will be filed in the courts of Rock Island County, Illinois.
- Legal: All terms and conditions are governed by USA law.

The Promoter appoints TKOTIX.com to sell tickets for its event. TKOTIX.com acts purely as an agent and has no responsibility for the event itself.
Promoters opting for Direct Deposit receive sales direct to their Stripe Account. Disbursement schedule is discussed between promoter and TKOTIX, and is typically 1-2 days.
Therefore, TKOTIX is NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR REFUNDS in any case of event cancellation. Promoters are solely responsible for returning face value of tickets to the Buyers in all cases of event cancellation.
Processing fees, credit card fees, and TKOTIX fees are non-refundable.
All Promotors must create a Stripe account that will connect to the TKOTIX Stripe account for all payments. Stripe is a financial services company that provides a payment processing platform. Please see https://stripe.com/. All monies associated with transactions with TKOTIX will go directly to each Promotor’s Stripe account. All Promotors are responsible for taxes and will receive a 1099 form at the end of the year. You will issue refunds via your Stripe account to Buyers in the case of event cancellation.
TKOTIX.com will provide the Promoter with access to a sales dashboard that reports all ticket sales.
It is your responsibility to enter and update your contact details in the sales dashboard.
It is your responsibility to enter and update your Stripe payment details and inform TKOTIX which account you would like payment to be made to. TKOTIX assumes no responsibility if any payments are made to the wrong account provided by the Promoter.
Should any overpayment be made in error by TKOTIX, it is the responsibility of the event organizers/directors to notify us immediately. Overpayments must be returned immediately upon notification. The event and its organizers/directors are personally liable for repaying these funds.
The Promoter will register an account with TKOTIX.com. The Promoter may then upload their event(s) onto the website.
The Promoter confirms it has made all the necessary hiring arrangements with the venue and has contracted artists to perform or confirmed the event(s) planned to transpire, as advertised.
We do not recommend that you display any advertisements where you do not have prior arrangements.
If TKOTIX receives any fines through promotions you have done (i.e., fly posters or hand-to-hand flyering), you agree to pay them in their entirety, as TKOTIX takes no responsibility for your events. Whenever possible, TKOTIX will pass on any communication received from councils to relevant parties but will not be held responsible if contact cannot be made.
It is the Promoter’s responsibility to ensure all event and ticket details listed are accurate and TKOTIX.com cannot be held liable for any errors.
If the Promoter requests TKOTIX.com to upload its event to this website, it is the Promoter’s responsibility to check the final listing for any errors or omissions. Once uploaded, TKOTIX.com assumes no responsibility for any errors or omissions.
The amount redeemed to the Promoter is inclusive of VAT (Value-Added Tax) and it is the Promoters’ responsibility to conduct its tax affairs accordingly.
In the instance of complaints about the event being received by TKOTIX LLC, we will direct all complaints to the Promoter. This is detailed in the Terms and Agreement with ticket Buyers.
All of the Terms and Conditions are governed by USA law and disagreements will be brought to the Rock Island County Court in Illinois.
