FEDs Actually Do Something Right
The Justice Department on Thursday accused Ticketmaster of engaging in a slew of bad practices. They accused it of using long-term contracts to keep venues from choosing rival ticketers, blocking venues from using multiple ticket sellers and threatening venues that they could lose money and fans if they don’t choose Ticketmaster.
Lower Fees are Good for Consumers, But What Does This Mean for You?Â
- Many promoters and venues are now able to free themselves from their contracts and find cheaper and BETTER alternatives.
- If you STAY with Ticketmaster, they will be passing along their profit-losses to you by increasing their take.Â
- Middle-Sized companies like Eventbrite will have to lower the buyer-fees and could also shift that profit-loss by taking a larger percentage of sales.
- Increased competition will mean advancements in tech and pricing to provide promoters with more options for their events.
- Smaller companies like TKOTIX will be able to offer their services to larger venues and promoters.
Thankfully, TKOTIX is ahead of the game, offering all of the same services and features as the bigger companies, but with personal service and cheaper processing. Contact us today 309-428-3635.
